Crew Lead Job Description

Landscape Construction, Sport Court and SYNLawn

Sport Court and SYNLawn Kentucky, family owned and incorporated in 1985, are seeking construction crew leaders. These companies focus on selling and installing SYNLawn artificial grass (yards, landscapes, putting greens, sport/agility fields, etc.) and Sport Court sport surfaces (basketball, tennis, pickleball, racquet ball, shuffleboard, etc.). The crew lead will report directly to the Operations Manager. This position will be one of the many faces of the company in the field and is responsible for delivering top-notch service to customers. We understand many of the skills required to perform the work are unique and on the job, training will be provided as needed.

Job Requirements

In addition to responsibilities of crew members, crew leaders will be responsible for the following:

• Work with Operations Manager and Sales team to arrange material and equipment for both current and upcoming projects
• Be knowledgeable of installation procedures for the job
• Utilize workflow software to document work progress
• Act as point of contact with client and communicate needs to crew and Operations Manager
• Be responsible for clean up of job site everyday
• Perform punch work with minimum to no supervision
• Assume responsibility for all tools and equipment and report damages in a timely manner

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
• 5 years of construction/landscape experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3 years of supervisory experience
• US work authorization
• Drug Free, Safety trained, Clean driving record

Skills must ultimately possess

• Ability to lift 100+ lbs
• Ability to communicate professionally
• Ability to understand and adhere to company procedures for pre-job, during-job, and post-job responsibilities
• Ability to solve problems
• Ability to follow safety procedures
• Ability to operate small excavators, sod cutter, plate compactor
• Ability to perform quality checks on equipment
• Ability to read a transit and understand grade/elevation changes
• Willingness to learn new tasks/skills and the installation of different new/products.
• Must be able to work outdoors in sometimes extreme weather conditions

Job Type:Full-Time with overtime available

Starting Pay:$23/hr – $30/hr based on experience, additional on job incentives and raises applicable based on performance, 90-day probationary period

Work Location:Louisville, KY

Expected hours:40 per week, M – F, 7AM – 4PM, extended hours possible

Warehouse Foreman Description

Warehouse Foreman, Sport Court and SYNLawn

Sport Court and SYNLawn Kentucky, family owned and incorporated in 1985, are seeking a warehouse foreman. These companies focus on selling and installing SYNLawn artificial grass (yards, landscapes, putting greens, sport/agility fields, etc.) and Sport Court sport surfaces (basketball, tennis, pickleball, racquet ball, shuffleboard, etc.). The worker will report directly to the Operations Manager. This position will be vital to the organization and operation of our warehouse. We understand many of the skills required to perform the work are unique and on the job training will be provided as needed.

Job Requirements

• Unload, inspect, log, and organize incoming materials in warehouse for upcoming projects.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.
• Monitor maintenance of all vehicles, equipment, and tools and repair as needed.
• Track all outgoing materials and tools
• Measure and cut turf materials for individual sale and outgoing jobs.
• Support installation crews with material and labor as needed.
• See to all miscellaneous tasks as needed for efficiently run warehouse

Qualifications

• 3 years of warehouse experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Small engine and tool maintenance experience, preferred
• US work authorization
• Drug Free, Safety trained, Clean driving record
